Over the years, theres been many Batman Graphic Novels and series that are considered by many as classic.
But what are YOUR favorite? It may be some of the more obvious such as The Long Halloween and The Dark Knight Returns or more obscure single comics such as The Silver Age Tale 'Robin Dies At Dawn'.It may even be a more Modern Comic Book series not as well known as others such as Face The Face.Nows your chance to sound off!

Knightfall, Killing Joke, and The Long Halloween are my three favorite classic ones, there are others like grant morrisons batman & robin series but I really wouldn't consider them classic as they have just come out not too long ago.

See,Im not as big a fan of The Killing Joke as most people are.
The fact that it gave The Joker an origin never sat well with me!

Isn't it another one of those numerous "possible origins" that The Joker has? But, yeah, I don't like the idea of him with a possible origin, either. But The Killing Joke is one of my all time favourites, anyway.
Other than TKJ, I really like No Man's Land (Or what I've read of it). Smile

I think that Ive already mentioned it here, but Batman as a character has been done to death, its honestly amazing.

So my favorite depictions are almost always the ones that does somthing different and new with the character and has a great story with it for example-

The dark knight returns- ultra viloent sociopathic sepegenarian batman

A serious house on serious earth- A scared and mostly broken man

Hush- a more "normal" ballence, but hes pushed closer to a edge than a couple of other stories ive read, this is what i count as a baseline batman

Batman year one- its the relative inexperience of this one that puts this into the top catogary

It's funny, although it is often praised as one of the best, I never hear anyone talk about it! I don't get it...

it's probably because there was absolutely nothing wrong with it, theres nothing to hate, nothing to discuss, it's just a great story, and we may as well leave it at that.

Haha, very true, Question. Now that I think about it, it is a large series, considering it affects all of Gotham. I guess I get what you mean.
