It's been a year since Bane took over Gotham, the city is still getting rebuilt, and John Blake has discovered the Batcave. Alfred has agreed to let him use Bruce's old crime fighting equipment so he can become the next Batman, but with Wayne Manor changed into a house for orphans, Batman's hideout is under a area in the docks, which Bruce used in the time he fought Joker and waited for Wayne Manor to be rebuilt. And the city hasn't been silent for long as old villians and new have returned, from Scarecrow to a new menace calling himself Penguin. Batman is needed again, but can Blake be the hero that this city need most?

"He says he's here to see you, Mr. Cobblepot." A man dressed in a nicely made black suit told Oswald as he sat at a table, with a glass of red wine, and a cigar in a ashtray sat on it.

A large top hat sat upon his head, making a large shadow go down his face, stopping people from seeing his eyes. He looked around at the Lounge, people ordering drinks, laughing, smiling, drinking, smoking, not one of them was fighting though, which made Penguin frown. A man came through the doors that went into the room Oswald was in, the man that warned him that the man was coming was holding the door open for him as he entered, and then closed it behind it for me too. The man wore a black jacket that went down to his knees, and a hat that was tipped forward to cover his face. Oswald got up, and gave a small smile

"Sit down, have a drink." Oswald said pouring a empty glass on the table full of red wine as the man sat down.

"We're here for business reasons, but it doesn't mean you have to miss out on the Iceberg Lounge's famous wine list. Take a sip, it's the best one we have here. And the most expensive." Oswald explained.

The man looked at the glass, grabbed it, and drunk all of it in one gone, but very slowly. Oswald smiled again, and brought out two files from a suitcase on the floor next to his chair, and chucked them onto the table.

"We've got drug dealings, planned robberies and last but never least murders. I was going to have a auction for them, but you seemed like a person that has a lot of money to spend, well, you seemed like it over the phone. So if you're willing to pay the highest price that the guy said it would go for, I will be willing to sell. How about it?" Oswald asked while taking a puff of his cigar that he had taken from the ashtray.

The smoke flew into the man's face, and he used his hand to wipe it away from him.

"Well?" Oswald said, still waiting for his answer.

"You've got a deal. But try not being so serious next time." Replied the man taking the files while pushing over a package. The man then got up, and started walking to the door he came in through. While Oswald ripped the package open to see a Joker card inside lying on top of a pile of Monopoly money. "That no good son of a b!tch!" Oswald yelled taking out his gun and firing at the man who then ducked missing the bullet. Oswald guards then started to fire as soon as Oswald's bullet missed. The man continued running to his car, while also taking off his black jacket and hat, revealing it was Joker all along.

Joker leaped into the black limo that waited for him outside, and it drove off into the darkness. Oswald ran to the front door made out of glass where all his gaurds were standing and looking out in shock. "Did you get him?" Oswald asked already knowing the answer. "No, boss. We mis-" A gun shot was heard and the guard fell down dead on the floor, landing in his own blood.

"Spread the news, the Joker's back." Oswald told his men before walking back into the Lounge.

Dr. Johnathan Crane, a well dressed, sharp youngish man, some stubble covering his chin, boarded a monorail train. As the doors slid shut behind him, the good doctor in his grey double breasted suit, equally grey vest and slacks walked through the clean, shiny compartments, past other people minding their business and waiting for a start. Of course these days, he had had a new identity as Mr. Sexton, but he was still in the business he had been in forever. And there was one thing he had never left behind during his long, eventful life in the city; the mask. It was said the man, the Batman himself, was now dead. A man Crane had fought continuously years ago, before his sudden departure into obscurity. And now there was a permanent departure, apparently beyond the grave. Then Bane, and a new position as Judge, had called.

Of course Crane didn't really care, this in fact helped his business somewhat. He pushed his designer glasses up the bridge of his aquiline nose, and sat there, on a bench somewhere in the compartments.

It was good to be with friends, without great enemies. And friends he had, in fact a new mob criminal had arisen, mocking called the Penguin, but also very well respected for his work in Gotham. He'd be sure to give Mr. Cobblepot a visit.

The cape waved in the night air behind Blake as he stood poised on the rooftops, the city streets silent below him. It had been a year since Bruce had died, and the city had felt the aftershock of Bruce Wayne's reported death long after it had happened. Alfred had revealed that Wayne had died during the raids, and the story had stuck, becoming notorious for the death of Gotham's prince.

But their Knight hadn't yet died.

He had lived on, as an idea. A grand spirit, living on to strike fear in the hearts of men all across Gotham

And now, it was time for that spirit to go to work.

A car crossed the bridge that lead into Gotham. It was a black, sleek car; and it currently held two people- a man dressed in a suit and the driver. The man dressed in the suit held a cane tightly in his hand; he was staring blankly out of the window. A sign crossed the window. WELCOME TO GOTHAM.

Ra's Al Ghul had returned.

Soon, Dr. Crane, carrying his suitcase, was outside on a trellis lined bridge walled with glass, hung with vines; on his way to the Iceberg Lounge, the club where the crime boss Oswald Cobblepot worked underneath an entirely legal front. Most interestingly this mister Oswald Chesterfield Cobblepot, had replaced the crime bosses of old, Sal Maroni, the Russian, the Chechen, and Carmine Falcone among them. Crane had had dealings with them before, so he was certainly no stranger to the mob. In fact his current employer was much more dangerous than the underground blight the mob had been, and definitely not to be trifled with. The Dent Act had destroyed most criminal operations, but surprisingly so far, Cobblepot was smart enough to avoid the law.

Crane passed some people making their way through the bridge, coming from doors down this way. They were laughing, content, happy, and no doubt in some way of untrustworthy morals and habit, a well dressed business man and his female companion, perhaps an escort. Crane turned his head and gaze from the passing man and woman to the side of the walkway. He looked down disinterestedly at passing cars, and the city street. Nothing to care for. Batman was gone. It was the time to move the operation.

He passed a bouncer, all brawn and no brains, and was inside the club. The place was mostly blue, white, grey, easy on the eyes. This hall was carpeted in aqua tinted velvet, and aquarium ran down the walls, populated with expensive piranhas and the like.

After a while walking around and admiring the interior design Dr. Johnathan Crane found his target, the short business man was stepping through the center of a gallery. Whereas Crane was slim and physically unimposing, Oswald was rather overweight and under height.

"Oh there you are. Would you like to take a seat?" Crane asked, smirking slightly, "Interesting choice of decor, in your den of.. iniquity. For a long time, I've been involved in an operation of sorts, and my employers find you an interesting and most convenient choice for... well."

Crane paused for a minute, talking off his glasses and cleaning them with a handkerchief.

"Let's talk." He continued.

Ra's smiled as he stepped from the car. He was located on the very outskirts of Gotham. He was looking around; the view of Gotham was magnificent. But, soon, it would be only embers. He took out his cell phone, dialing a number.

"Crane.... I'd like you to send some men down into the Sewers if you will. It shall be our new base of operations."

Crane listened to his call, and replied.

"Certainly, I'll send them over just as soon as business with Oswald is concluded."

Then he gave a wave to the mobster to come and take a seat, where he kept on the line with the terrorist long thought dead, the man behind the curtain, so to speak, of the League of Shadows throughout all these years.

"Cobblepot, there is an operation that I'd be quite grateful for your attendance. Underneath the city, within the sewer system, is where you can speak with my superior in person. If you give out any information you will probably be silenced as a matter of fact, so I'd recommend you stay quiet." The studious Dr. Crane said, handing him a parchment map labelled with directions.

"Alright, now I'll drop our call and order my men to assist you, if you'd be so kind." Crane said to Ra's, and then after a minute he had placed in a call to an associate, who gave the order to underlings. They'd be there as fast as possible.

Ra's nodded as Crane talked, and looked to the driver. He nodded his head, and the driver walked off, in search of the best possible entrance.
"Thank you, Doctor." Ra's slipped the cell phone back into his pocket, and walked to where the driver was located. After a couple of minutes, they found the closest place to the place of operations. This place had once been the residence of Bane; vast yet watery. Ra's surveyed the place, a smile upon his face. He had made one mistake, but Bane had made a much bigger one. He would finally complete his work. And the legend that is Batman would fall.

"But you must already know a business man like myself doesn't go in places like those, sewers like you said, to do business. So if something's big's going down, and I can make a profit out of it, then I'll join you, but under one rule, we do everything here in the Lounge. With my men watching you all the time in my home, understood?" Oswald replied to Crane.

"Don't say a word, I understand Mr. Cobblepot, exactly what you fear. No need to worry." Dr. Crane replied, putting his glasses back on.

"Well I'll be sure to do that, I respect your command of the mind over organized crime, it's a favored trait of mine." Crane casually said, ending the conversation, before walking off.

He had done what he needed to do, and quite excellently, as a matter of fact. Now all that was left was to simply leave and go back to down to the sewers, where he could continue his work. He went out the same way he had come, walking across the bridge back to the parking garage, where he left in his expensive black ferrari.

I join as big black goon.

I am big black man in Penguin Lounge, drinking coffee. I put the glass down, and look with evil face at people, threatening to kill them if they are walking.

"Die if walk." I say.
