DC comics reboot

At last, DC Comics has shown their hand after weeks of speculation. The rumors of a massive DC Universe reboot have been confirmed. In September, comic fans will be the recipients of 52 #1 issues as the entire line of DC Universe titles gets a relaunch. Everyone from Superman to Booster Gold will be getting a revamp, which includes redesigns and a "younger" continuity.

DC Comics co-publisher Dan Didio told USA Today, "We looked at what was going on in the marketplace and felt we really want to inject new life in our characters and line. This was a chance to start, not at the beginning, but at a point where our characters are younger and the stories are being told for today's audience."

Unsure about this. Opinions?

Suprisingly, I'm pretty happy about this. If it's not a total redo, and more of a clean up, that would be great. In a continuity as large as DCs, it does need a clean up every now and then (Not necessarily a reboot). But if it turns out to be a complete redo of DC, then that's not going to go down well with fans.

I'm pleased about this too, I just hope Grant Morrison's work is either erased or given it's own universe.

Seriously,if I don't like what they do with this 'reboot' I'm just gonna stop reading new DC comics and focus on the older stuff

Yeah, there are so many older graphic novels, you would be set for life without having to read any comics.

I have about 70 years of comic books to keep me busy!
Should last me until I'm about 19.
Hopefully by then the retcon will have been retconned! lol!

Im optamistic about it. Hopefully itll clean up continuity a bit, it gives me a good jumping on point for different/more obscure titles, new Nighting ongoing, Greg Cappullo on Batman!
